This campaign is about more than a single election – we need a complete reconstruction of society. We are building a socialist movement to end the rule of the billionaires once and for all.

The vast wealth of this country is created by the labor of working people, yet we are told there isn’t enough to guarantee the basics of a dignified life. This is a lie. The problem isn’t a lack of resources; it’s that the resources are hoarded by a tiny billionaire elite who view us as disposable. This is illustrated by the fact that just 800 billionaires –which includes Ohio billionaires like Les Wexner and Vivek Ramaswamy– now control more wealth than the entire bottom half of American families—66 million households. While an increasing number of workers struggle to cover weekly expenses and millions go hungry, a tiny ruling elite control the main levers of our economy for their private profit. Most workers agree, we need a radical reconstruction of the economy: and that begins by seizing the 100 biggest corporations – including the six, like Kroger and Procter & Gamble, headquartered right here in Ohio – (just 0.0007% of businesses) and transforming them into public property, democratically controlled by the workers themselves. This is the essential foundation for an economy that serves the needs of people and the planet, not corporate greed.
From this foundation, we will make the essentials of life constitutional rights for every person in Ohio and across America. This means enacting a national rent cap so no one pays more than 20% of their income on housing, and banning evictions. It means establishing a universal, single-payer healthcare system, free at the point of use. It means canceling all student debt and making public education, from pre-K through college and trade school, completely free. To immediately combat the cost-of-living crisis, we will implement an across-the-board price freeze on essential goods. We will repeal Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful” tax cuts for the rich.
This new vision is critical for Ohio, a state hard-hit by decades of deindustrialization enabled by the capitalist greed of both Democrat and Republican parties. We will rebuild our communities through a socialist industrial policy that puts working families first and corporate profits last. This will put Ohio’s proud union labor back to work at a living wage, manufacturing the renewable energy systems, transit and housing materials needed to slash emissions and rebuild America.Ohio workers will be integral in powering our push for 20 million union jobs nationwide, restoring manufacturing to its historic peak.
The rapid rise of Artificial Intelligence, which could displace a third of workers by 2030, should not mean layoffs and exploitation. Under public ownership and democratic control, technological progress can be harnessed to shorten the workweek and improve our lives, finally creating an economy that works for the many, not the few. -
We are told we live in a democracy, but in Ohio, our lives are dictated in Wall Street boardrooms. The truth is that billionaires and democracy cannot coexist. Our system isn't broken; it's working for the rich exactly as intended. Despite the theatrics, both Republicans and Democrats serve their true constituents: the billionaire class. The proof is everywhere: in the lobbyists who write our laws, the unelected and unrecallable Supreme Court that tramples our rights, the bankers at the Federal Reserve who control our economy, and the millionaires club that is the U.S. Congress.
This isn't a government of the people; it is a dictatorship of the rich. Our aim is the total reorganization of power into the hands of the working class. We will outlaw corporate lobbying and political donations, prosecute the powerful for their crimes, and set the salary of Congress to the median worker's wage to ensure they live in the world they create for us. We will move to abolish the anti-democratic Senate and the illegitimate Supreme Court, transferring their powers to more democratic and accountable bodies.
This system of legalized bribery allows billionaires to get richer and richer, while working people are crushed further and further by debt and low wages. It enables attacks on hard fought civil rights and social gains, which the ruling elite view as barriers to their endless profit. We must build a new system of government where power is directly exercised by workers through their unions, neighborhood assemblies, and community organizations—a true democracy from the bottom up. History's lessons are clear: only when the working class holds the reins of power can we have a government that finally serves human needs, not the endless greed of the tiny elite. -
Ohio has a proud history as an abolitionist state. That legacy demands that we now take up the mantle to end the relentless war that has been waged on Black America. This campaign is committed to eradicating systemic racism in all its forms: from police brutality and the system of mass incarceration to the economic violence of poverty, unemployment, and housing insecurity. Black workers are the backbone of this country’s economy, yet they face unemployment rates far higher than their white counterparts and hold a fraction of the wealth, a direct consequence of centuries of stolen labor, redlining, and economic divestment. This is not an accident of history but the intended outcome of a system designed to exploit and oppress.
We reject the empty gestures of politicians and instead demand concrete, material justice. This begins with the full payment of reparations to Black Americans for slavery and Jim Crow dictatorship. These reparations must be accompanied by a massive federal commitment to invest in historically oppressed communities for housing, education, and infrastructure. By taking public control of the 100 largest corporations—including those built on the profits of slavery—we will generate the resources needed to begin this process of redress, and so much more.
This campaign demands that young Black Ohioans like Tamir Rice, Ma’Khia Bryant and Jazmir Tucker are not robbed of their futures. We must end the militarization of the police, place departments under direct community control, and fully prosecute all acts of police violence to end the era of impunity.
We must outlaw the racist gerrymandering and voter purges designed to further disenfranchise Black voters. The attacks on DEI and public education – as exemplified by the passage of the racist, anti-labor Ohio Senate Bill 1–are nothing but desperate attempts to whitewash history and keep us divided. To eradicate racism, our children must learn the history of white supremacy and celebrate the enduring legacy of resistance against it.
This system of racism is a tool of the capitalist class to keep all workers down. The struggle for Black liberation is the engine of progress in this country. Our campaign is about uniting the multiracial working class to deliver a decisive blow to the whole rotten structure. To end the war on Black America, we must end the capitalist system that wages it. -
U.S. politicians, weapons executives, and Pentagon generals are steering the world directly toward a catastrophic and unprecedented conflict. As a veteran, I know the real truth: these forever wars have nothing to do with defense, or “protecting democracy”— they are part of a brutal business. Working class kids die, and the tiny ruling minority profits.
We must demand an immediate end to this madness. We will fight to slash the Pentagon budget by 90%. A new era of peace must replace the dangerous doctrine of preparation for “major power conflict”. The United States must dismantle its sprawling network of 800+ military bases throughout the globe, and guarantee job training and well-paid employment with union representation within a People’s Corps for all veterans. Cold War-era alliances and tools for military domination such as NATO, the CIA and AFRICOM, must be dissolved immediately.
Martin Luther King Jr. warned us nearly 60 years ago – the bombs this government sends abroad are “exploding at home.” Ohioans are all too familiar. The approximately $1 trillion that the U.S. taxpayers spend every year on war should instead be spent to address the dire crises facing working people—on healthcare, housing, and ending poverty. This means cutting all aid to the racist, genocidal state of Israel and lifting the cruel, deadly sanctions that strangle ordinary people in nations like Cuba, Venezuela and Iran.
Our new foreign policy will reject forever wars and embrace global cooperation to address the true threats to humanity: climate change, pandemics, and poverty. We will share resources and technology, not deploy bombs and sanctions. The choice is between endless war for profit or a future of peace and shared prosperity. We choose peace.

The right-wing assault on immigrants, women, and LGBTQ people is a deliberate con game orchestrated by billionaires. They scapegoat our communities to divide the working class and distract from their own crimes—crimes of exploitation, stolen wages, and a war machine that devours trillions while our schools and hospitals crumble. They want us fighting each other so we don’t unite against them. But we see through the lies. The real threat to our society isn’t a trans child, a migrant family, or a Black student—it’s the tiny, greedy minority hoarding all the wealth and power.
This campaign demands a dignified life with guaranteed rights for all. That means abolishing ICE, ending all raids and deportations, shutting down the detention camps, and establishing a clear path to citizenship. It means guaranteeing free abortion and recognizing that access to gender-affirming care is a healthcare decision that should be between a person and their doctor. We will confront the epidemic of gender-based violence through programs that help survivors escape abuse, and uproot sexist attitudes culturally and institutionally. This campaign will call to enact legislation banning discrimination in housing and employment.
The same billionaires funding anti-immigrant hate, scapegoating LGBTQ people and attacking DEI are the ones exploiting all workers and driving down our wages. We need to expand systems of protection and affirmative action – not attack them. Our freedom is tied together. We will fight their campaign of division with a movement of working class unity. The only dangerous minority is the billionaire class. It’s time we treated them like the threat they are. -
The climate crisis is an existential emergency, and must be recognized as such. Under the current capitalist system, the billionaires and politicians who protect them will never prioritize our survival over their profits. There is nothing “natural” about it. Ohioans are experiencing the consequences of this climate emergency first hand; from the toxic train derailment in East Palestine, to increased patterns of extreme weather devastating our farms. The race for AI dominance now poses a further risk: unsustainable energy consumption that could severely strain Ohio's electrical infrastructure and natural resources.
We need to radically transform the way we produce and distribute goods. Instead of a system dictated by short term profits and competition, we must demand an economy that is planned to meet the needs of society and the planet. Ohio can be at the forefront of the green revolution—building out public transit systems connecting our cities; reorganizing our agricultural production sustainably; retooling our manufacturing expertise for renewable technology. This requires slashing the Pentagon budget (the world’s largest polluter), ending forever wars, and pursuing global cooperation through climate reparations. We can protect Ohio's future and create millions of new union jobs by putting people before profit.
